I've decided to start doing features on my journal of other artists here on deviantArt and elsewhere, with their permission. So I am going to start with a friend of mine who goes by Korwis here on dA.
Disclaimer: None of this artwork belongs to me. I am simply showcasing it with Korwis' permission,

and at a whim she may ask me to remove or change any of it and I will do so without question.
My goal here is only to help out fellow artists in the dA community
and generate more views/faves/comments/watches for them
because it has been so good to me for as long as I have been logging onto here
and I'd like to return the favor.

(I do not accept points or otherwise payment for this feature,
if I feature you it's because you deserve the praise and I am aware of your work,
I will always ask for your permission first before I feature you,
though you may contact me to evaluate your gallery if you wish.
Because I look at your gallery does not mean I will automatically feature your work here)
This wonderful artist has a very eye-catching style that is so unique to her that when you see a wonderfully "weird" piece like this on the web,
you know that Korwis was the one who drew it.
I wish I could see this painting in person. What I like about Korwis' work is her mastery over shading and all things hair.
You can see the way she creates hair out of fire.
Look at the way she draws that hair with pencil:
"Hair" by Korwis
The first thing I thought of when I saw this drawing was that this was a depiction of mother earth; her body is the land and the hair is the ocean, and you can see the rivers that run across her always changing and flowing, sometimes even fading and sinking away back into the earth. It's just my interpretation of the piece, so I'm not sure what Korwis thinks about this idea
"Korra and Naruto" by Korwis
I requested this from Korwis a long while ago. it seems. Probably early spring. What I like is that, when I usually request or commission a drawing, people usually just give me two characters just standing there with no meaning and no attempt to construct anything whatsoever. This girl goes out of her way to create this symbol of unity that is still one of my favorite drawings today. With both of them missing part of their faces, it's easy to imagine them uniting as one and becoming one another's other half, which Korwis represented, it seemed, without even understanding why I liked these two characters so much together. I'm not sure, I never did ask her if she liked these two, I don't think. I just sort of pressured her into joining our group XP
"Surrounded" by Korwis
This is my favorite piece from her so far (even though I love the Naruto and Korra one a lot), and it shows that she has an eye for not only design but the structure of a person's face. Look at the way her face sort of flows together into not parts but shapes that work together to construct the eye, the nose and the lips. Nothing in this drawing is still or dull. My favorite part about this drawing here is actually the background. I love what she did with the face, but I have not seen a background that intense in a while and the fact that it's all drawn by hand and not multiplied or duplicated on Photoshop or anything increases the value of this drawing for me.
Again, the hair is absolutely stellar. You can see the individual strands bundled into beautiful flowing locks that accentuate the neck by gently tumbling in the opposite direction. If you turn this image counter-clockwise, it appears as if this beauty is resting on her back, and suddenly the cloud of swirls around her head becomes the dreams that swirl about in her mind as she sleeps.
Surely, if you were able to truly appreciate this wonderful artwork, then you now know what I've known for a while: Korwis' art is so different and inspiring that truly not a single description of them could be useful. You can always come up with a different interpretation of her work every time you see it. Every time that I look at her work, I think of something else that I missed before, and so that is why I decided to choose her as my first feature here.
Thank you for reading this far, if you skipped down to the bottom to avoid my long rants, that's fine too, but make sure you go back up and take one last look at each of these drawings and then click on her icon and check out the rest of her intense and stunning artwork. I don't know how you can not follow her, knowing that she still has plenty of time to grow and excel.

Bit off more than he can chew
I'm working on a lot of stuff lately and keeping up with updates on all of these different websites is difficult but I'm going to try my best and get in front of it all!
I recently worked on a series of portraits:
First isn't of anyone in particular, but I had Morrigan (?) from Dragon Age Origins in mind.
Second is Dyna Edyne, a singer and rapper you can find on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DynaEdyne) or IG @ dynaedyne. Please visit and check out her work, she has a great singing voice.
The third is a portrait of Punished Snake from the new Metal Gear Solid V. I bought it recently and have been pretty engaged in it for a while now. I
